Egypt – A Three Course Meal Of Spiritual Food

Eastbound and Westbound had the privilege of staying together during the first half of our time in Egypt. More so, some of the staff and volunteers from Global came from Jeffery’s Bay to visit us in Anafora, where we did a Bible Study course, called Veritas 2. What a blessing it was to learn about the Old Testament while being in the place where so many of the stories took place! God came and filled us with His Word. We did Veritas in the mornings and manual labour in the afternoons. We also got to know more about the Coptic church. Through it all, we learned to glorify God...

Kenya – 3 Weeks, 2 Teams, 1 Ministry Point.

Kenya – 3 Weeks, 2 Teams, 1 Ministry Point. To abide and to dwell. This has been our experience of Kenya. Creation sings of His peace and power with vividly green fields, picturesque hills and gentle rivers that make you feel like you’re living in the psalms. His presence is everywhere. Our team has often been gifted with the opportunity to step away from civilization and seek Him intimately. This was true for Kenya too. Training 2026

Excitement, fear, and a longing for adventure. New faces, different personalities, all rushing to find their place. A lot of emotions were experienced the first days here at Global. In the first few weeks of training we learnt to wake up early, be flexible, and just get to know each other. We went to different camps, praying and ministering to kids of all ages. So...

Türkiye – His Perfect Timing

After arriving in Istanbul for the third – and last – time this year, the team stayed at a local church for about a week. The church is located in the Sultanahmet district of Istanbul, which is where the old city of Constantinople is located. This area is a beautiful blend of rich historical architecture and the convenience of a highly developed urban area. Although famous for tourist attractions like the “Blue Mosque” and “Hagia Sophia”, this district also holds “The Grand Bazaar” and bustling street markets which offered some more...

Russia – The gift of hospitality

Russia was not in our plans originally but through miraculous provision and guidance we got to visit this amazing country. The Russian people we had the privilege to meet at various churches truly know how to practice hospitality – just as we as believers are commanded to do. We received a particularly warm welcome from one of our own team members’, Tim’s family. It was a beautiful reunion especially since Tim had not seen them in a year. After a day of rest we were divided into three groups that went to three different regions: Krasnodar, Sochi and Anapa. ...
