Thailand – Surrounded by Family

During our 6-week-long stay in Thailand – the longest time we have spent in any country during this year – we had plenty of opportunities to draw nearer to God, as our provider and strength, and to grow in our relationships with our teammates. The Green Squad was first to arrive at the new Ministry point in Chiang Rai, Thailand, and immediately delved into various ministry opportunities. Vietnam – Come spend time with Me

Just like that we flew to Vietnam to proclaim God’s Kingdom yet again in another country. Unaware of the challenge ahead, the team eagerly wondered what our ministry here would look like. God had some ministering to do to us first before we could continue, so we jumped straight into our very first travel challenge-  200km, 4 days, money for only food, in a country where very little understand English, and one faithful God. Practicing to trust God for your “daily bread” suddenly becomes a main priority and then you realise how important it is for day to day living. One of the travel...

Philippines – Pure worship

Rev Kids On The Block Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of the heaven belongs to such as these.”  After a great adventure in Singapore the team was ready to minister in the Philippines. The church is primarily planted to reach out to the children in the surrounding community- to portray Jesus’ sincere and caring heart to those who might not even get any...

Singapore – An unexpected adventure

“We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps.” – Proverbs 16:9 We had about a week left in Malaysia, thinking that we would spend it serving at a church in Kuala Lumpur. After a night in Kuala Lumpur we were surprised by our leaders with an announcement that we were about to have a travel challenge. All 19 of us were going to travel on scooters to an unknown (to most of us) location. The idea was to go on a retreat adventure with Jesus. God is so multifaceted and you experience something totally different of Him when you go on an adventure with complete...

Eswatini – Luke 10

We entered Eswatini with great excitement, as this was to be the first country we were to visit. Eswatini is a tremendously beautiful country with very friendly people. Our first passports stamps for the year We had a warm welcome at a guesthouse owned by the parents of a Global community member and even received cake! God knows how to make us feel special, because it happened to be Helé’s birthday. We were still enjoying a time of rest when it was announced that we would be having our first Luke 10 challenge. In Luke 10 Jesus sends the disciples out in pairs with nothing...
