Eastbound didn’t know what to expect when entering Nepal, but we were definitely not expecting the heat. We were sweaty and hot and often found ourselves praying for cooler weather, or a supernatural coolness to come over us. India, indeed, was an experience that will stay close to the hearts of Eastbound ’26 for a while to come. Our time in the Country of Spice started at a brisk 02:00 on a Wednesday morning. It is safe to say that we are gaining experience from—and building immunity against—the taxing effects that extended travel has on a person. That being said, we looked beat. The wheels on the bus do not go round and round. It is safe to say that our time in Tanzania started off with a bang. We arrived at the border in true African fashion; only a single day later than hoped for. This however did not show effect on moral to the news that we would be starting with our second Travel Challenge of the year.
