Egypt – Being Spiritually Fed

After a nap in the Kenyan airport, we got on our plane to Egypt around 4:45am. Though tired, we were all excited to enter Egypt as our last country of the African leg. We arrived at our hostel where we stayed for a few nights, where they blessed us with comfortable beds, warm showers and breakfast each morning. Tanzania – Teaching Us to Rely on the Lord

The wheels on the bus do not go round and round. It is safe to say that our time in Tanzania started off with a bang. We arrived at the border in true African fashion; only a single day later than hoped for. This however did not show effect on moral to the news that we would be starting with our second Travel Challenge of the year. Miracles in Malawi

After a long bus ride, Eastbound arrived at our accommodation in the early hours of the morning. We were welcomed by a lovely host, who stays on a banana plantation, and his seven dogs barking their hellos. This would be a time of beauty, hard work, and seeing Jesus in the little details of His Creation. The ladies helped with pruning the banana trees. There’s something so joyful in learning about one’s culture in the middle of the Zambian forest, chatting to a local around a fire, while watching the sunset and smoke rise into the air – almost like how we’d imagine our prayers lifting up to the Lord. How privileged we are to travel the nations, eat food we’ve never tasted before, sing passionately with people we have only just met, and pray under roofs, feeling the Holy Spirit move through the houses!
