Laos – Hearing God Differently

Blue and Green team split up again for this ministry point. We were very excited to come and impact the lives of those here in Laos. We partnered with Hands of Hope, an organisation that focuses on providing education and basic life skills to deaf people. The green team was ready to take up any challenge handed to us. Our team started our 10 days in Laos on the right note by praying for this ministry point. We felt it said that we are going to focus on bonding as a ‘family’. We didn’t hesitate to put that in practice! Every night we came together as a team to have family nights, we...

Cambodia – Come away with Me

“My beloved spoke and said to me, ‘Arise, my darling, my beautiful one, come with me.”– Song of Songs 2:10 NIV A forest we visited frequently The Lord invited us to go on a pilgrimage of sorts, drawing us away to speak to us. We, the Blue team, were exhilarated because we were going into the unknown with our friend the Holy Spirit. Initially thinking that we would literally have to ask right or left. Instead, he brought us to a sanctuary. After some extensive traveling from Vietnam, we arrived in Kep , a rural town in Cambodia late the evening. We were met...

Vietnam – Come spend time with Me

Just like that we flew to Vietnam to proclaim God’s Kingdom yet again in another country. Unaware of the challenge ahead, the team eagerly wondered what our ministry here would look like. God had some ministering to do to us first before we could continue, so we jumped straight into our very first travel challenge-  200km, 4 days, money for only food, in a country where very little understand English, and one faithful God. Practicing to trust God for your “daily bread” suddenly becomes a main priority and then you realise how important it is for day to day living. One of the travel...

Philippines – Pure worship

Rev Kids On The Block Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of the heaven belongs to such as these.”  After a great adventure in Singapore the team was ready to minister in the Philippines. We were split up in pairs to live with different hosts, which was a blessing itself. Three weeks were ahead of us and we were ready to take up any task the church gave us. The church is primarily planted to reach out to the children in the surrounding community- to portray Jesus’ sincere and caring heart to those who might not even get any...

Singapore – An unexpected adventure

“We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps.” – Proverbs 16:9 We had about a week left in Malaysia, thinking that we would spend it serving at a church in Kuala Lumpur. After a night in Kuala Lumpur we were surprised by our leaders with an announcement that we were about to have a travel challenge. All 19 of us were going to travel on scooters to an unknown (to most of us) location. The idea was to go on a retreat adventure with Jesus. God is so multifaceted and you experience something totally different of Him when you go on an adventure with complete...
