Our journey to Paraguay was somewhat unconventional. The night before our arrival, most of us either slept in a police station or in a stranger’s home as part of a Travel Challenge. This time of hitchhiking involved a lot of faith, trust in God and each other, and simply put, fun. Brazil – Stepping Out Of The Boat

The eleven of us Westbounders arrived in São Paulo, Brazil, with all our bags adding up to a little over 220kg, containing unwrapped snacks from the Johannesburg airport, and full of expectations that we knew what we were doing. As we journeyed from Jbay to the rural village of Makhathini in KZN, it felt like something new was stirring. Perhaps it was because we’d just been released from training and were eager to get to our first ministry point. Perhaps it was because we could sit, sleep, and rest for the two days of travel. But perhaps Jesus was up to something more. I believe He was stirring our hearts to advance His Kingdom through the power of prayer.
