Miracles in Mexico

Where do I start with the favour that we experienced from God in Mexico? I can't even explain the amazing time we had. Since we entered the Mexican airport we experienced the fullness of His favour. One of our last days in Mexico, our host took us to the Chichen Itza temple (one of the 7 world wonders) and so I'm sitting in a bus, coming back from a long day of being a tourist. It's our first time traveling with a group of tourists, we even got the sticker on our chests. Strange. While listening to some Ed Sheeran and my thoughts, I just feel so much peace. Peace that can only come from Him. With this feeling inside of me, I definitely know I'm exactly where I'm suppose to be.  Surprisingly, we found out that we have a huge family that live in Mexico. It was  special to spend hours and hours, having adventures and conversations with them. We even stayed up until 2am in the mornings after having a midnight adventure(driving around Wal-Mart) and eating dinner at 1am. I didn't think that I could feel so at home with people I only know for 2 weeks.  He is a good good Father that really LOVES me and wants to use me for His kingdom. I could never understand why me? But now I do. Thank You Father! I can't wait so see what God has instore for me for the next few weeks! ;)

ThIs heat got some beat...

So after cold and grey Russia we arrived in Cuba..stepping of the plane I was welcomed with the heat of the Caribbean and people talking, laughing and smiling. Driving out of the airport it felt like I went back in time. There is nothing modern in Cuba, everything is still the Same as in the 80's.  I was amazed to see how people just carried on living in that way. The music is everywhere and as you go you catch the one beat from the other one. There's people dancing in the streets in their houses in restaurants. Spanish lesson 101 : where is the bathroom PLEASE (Donde esta el banjo porvavor) is the most important sentence you can learn.  I had such a blast meeting up with the Gladois team and spending time with them. They are such amazing people of God. They give so much of themselves and expect nothing in return. I made a wonderful new friends especially Maggie. We had so much fun climbing up the Grand Piedra, we even hitched hike up and down! Hahahaha I don't know who prayed more for a lift me or her... We were blessed with amazing food everyday and had so much 1 pesO icecream luckily we walked almost 6 km per day 2 or 3 times..hint hint it didn't work... The 1 pesO icecream I carry now on my hips..lol..  From yaelin making really silly jokes and having a who can eat the most grand piedra icecream competition to sleeping in our hamocks on the roof of the church looking out over the Caribbean Sea then me buying a piece of land in the middle of the crossing road aka that means I fell down in the middle of the road with cherise and Jay walking on not hearing me scream and fall luckily Jojo came to the rescue after he stood and laughed at me for not being able to stand up, me and Jay pulling our faces really bad in situations we rather not speak of...sitting on the top of the church roof drinking coffee with cherise at night looking at the stars and having deep conversations about life and Jesus.. getting on the back of a motorcycle for a joy ride just for fun, being completely overwhelmed by the Holy Spirit... road tripping 13 hours on a old schoolbus/truck to get to Santeago and back to Havana, to getting baptised on the 22nd of Mei 2016 yaay and sleeping on the airport in a corner making sure there is a plug to charge our phones and boil the kettle in the morning for some cup of the coffee... laughing so hard that your tummy aches for 2 days..stepping deeper into Gods presense and His plan for my life!! what more do you want?? Sharing all of this with this team of mine just made it even more special. 5 months has past and I can say that this team is truly my family.  Thank you Jesus!

Started from the bottom now we're here.

Israel oh Israel, you were such a interesting country. We arrived here not knowing where we are going, but God took me on one incredible journey. I was in for a big surprise when I thought that Israel was just a boring country full of people stuck in history.  In our first week I hit rockbottom, we had some really tough times and I started to miss home a lot. But I learned that it's only when you hit rockbottom that you realize that God is the rock. Luckily we all made it through that first week, and trust me I know we will be able to handle everything this year.  After this God just started to bless our team so much. Like when we were so tried and hungry He would just bless us with grapefruit and bananas on the ground. Wow, how I learned to appreciate everything that I have so freely at home. Thank You Jesus.  I'm not going into the details about the rest of our time in Israel because it will take forever. We saw a wide spectrum of all the different areas there is to see in Israel. It is so mind blowing to be in a nice city that's green and then like an hour's drive further you're in the middle of a dry desert.  From walking the Gospel trail, to eating way to much unlimited chocolate in Bethlehem, to healthy food and a amazing family in Tel Aviv, to camping in the desert, to floating on the dead sea, to  snorkeling in the red sea and to living in a prayer house, God took me from being at the bottom to the top with Him. And through this crazy journey God provided so much and He just loves to bless His children. Thank you Israel for the interesting time you gave us. Russia here we come!

The Superhero Comparison

The Superhero Comparison

This whole Global Challenge has been tough. I've really been struggling to fit into my team and to find my purpose. I spoke to my leader and she said a few things that was needed, but I want to tell you about two things. Fitst she said that you're value is not in your purpose, it is in who you are. Second thing is that we are not human doings, we are human beings. I am not going to elaborate on that, but think about it.

Turkey - confronted by blessings

On the fourth of march we arrived in Istanbul, a city with about 10 million people. By God's grace we found a very cheap hostel right in the centre between the famous mosque "Hagia sophia" and the sea (Bosporus)! Already at this place we experienced the hospitableness and kindness of turkish people, just amazing!

Its all about You Jesus!

I'm standing knee deep, but im out where i've never been before. If you would have asked me 2 months ago if im ready to go out to the nations and serve, i would have said yes!! If you ask me 1 month ago i would have said no!! if you would ask me now, my answer will be, I trust in God that i am ready for i cant do anything without Him. For it is not about me and what i am going to do but it is all about the Father and His Son. My purpose is to bring glory to God in all that i do for Him and to know Him and seek Him with all my heart. Knowing that there is only 3 days left of training makes me nervous and excited... Jesus You make me brave, You call me out into the waves, no fear can hinder the promises that You make.I will draw near and hold fast...
