My time in China started a bit different than some of my other team members. The moving crew (Me, Madelein, Miga and Coetzee) helped our contact's family to move to a new house for the first five days. We had so much fun, but worked really hard. We actually got "elevator lack", because we went from one building's 10th floor to the other building's 5th floor every day with heavy boxes, in an elevator. Up and down, up and down ! But yes, we are Global Challengers, we can overcome anything... why?? Cause we have Jesus on our sides people ! Hehe
The two weeks in Laos was a bit different than what I expected. The day when we entered Laos, an old man asked me the date, while we were all filling in our forms to cross the boarder. Little did I know that this old man is about to spend the following two weeks with us...A week before we came to Laos, he wanted to go through the gates, but they didn't let him in, so he waited patiently on God to tell him when to go again. So he chose the same day and time as us. God told him that he will meet a group of people with who he will stay...thats us, Northbound !He is a missionary for 25 years now and has been to 72 countries to spread the gospel and telling people the purpose of their lifes, how awesome is that !He stayed, ate, prayed and worshiped with us for two weeks but also challenged us. Once again he made me realized how little my faith can be sometimes. For example ; We had a youth camp and they announced that there is a medical kit for incase someone doesn't feel well, BUT THEN the old man said aloud :" YOU ONLY NEED THAT IF YOUR FAITH IS WEAK !" How crazy. Actually we don't need medical stuff in our lifes, if your faith is strong enough and you trust that the devil has NO authority over your body, then God will always protect you from illness, because He made you and He loves you !One night we did some treasure hunting (waiting on the Holy Spirit to show you people to pray for) So what happened is; we were standing under a big statue of the king of Laos, where the people worship and bring offerings to this statue, when we met a young woman and her mother, strong buddhist. But once again God came and show how miraculous He is, cause that night we prayed for them and they gave their lifes to Jesus, 2 new member to our family in Christ, whoOopy !We met amazing people and ate a lot of yummy food, but best of all...we made good friends ! People who really inspired me and people who snuggled into my heart.I love Laos *
Wow wow wow !To me this two weeks were all about learning more about faith. I had a few prophecies about me being a woman of faith and, oh, how God started to establish faith in my life and He is still busy and will always be!God will always provide, even in the small things, even in your desires. For example, we craved chocolates, juice, bread, ice cream and cookies, THEN a lady came and gave us a bag full of everything we wanted. Amazing ! I've learned to see God's hand in everything. There is definitely a reason why things don't work my way and on my timing. Like when I really wanted a Nepal flag and sticker (for the guitar), but I didn't have money to buy one, so I prayed that God will maybe let one fall out of the sky, BUT it didn't happen. I was kinda angry and upset because I'm probably not coming back to Nepal soon. So all that was left to do, was just to have a little bit of faith. Then God came and show His loving heart again. The next day on the airport my team members gave me a flag and a sticker. Man, I don't know about you, but my God is awesome ! God's timing is not our timing!Nepal was so awesome. Peaceful atmosphere and very nice people. Our ministry was great. House fellowships with different families and praying all the time.We stayed with the nicest and most beautiful family, who took care of us and who spoiled us a lot.Nepal I'll see you again one day !All praise and glory to our awesome Jesus !*
17 Days in India went by so quickly. Beautiful kids and a friendly host at the orphanage where we stayed. We decided to repaint the orphanage and to buy something for the children, but we didn't have any money. We needed R25 000 for this project. So we started this project by faith ! Faith that God will provide.
